¡Adelante Esperanza! will celebrate the courage and wisdom of our Latina founders and recognize Latin@ leaders locally and nationally who have a deep and passionate commitment to healthy families and communities.

The centerpiece of the evening will be the presentation of ¡Adelante Esperanza! awards to honor courageous and influential leaders who are working to build healthier, stronger, more equitable families and communities.

The evening’s program will culminate in a keynote address by San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto who will accept a special ¡Adelante Esperanza! Award to recognize her inspirational leadership. Additional ¡Adelante Esperanza! Award recipients include Mónica Ramírez, President of Alianza Nacional de Campensinas, and Hector E. Sanchez Barba, Executive Director of Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) and Chair of National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA).

The Sandra L. Vargas Transformational Leadership Award, the Lupe R. Serrano Community Change Award, and Youth Leadership in Action Award will be presented to adults and youth from our local community.
